MINUTES – NEW DOSEY TOWN BOARD REGUALAR MEETING – AUGUST 10TH, 2022.

Meeting called to order at 7:30pm by Chair Dave Fornengo.  Also present were the following: Supervisor’s Dave Baker & Anthony Fornengo, NPAHD Representative Fran Levings, Clerk Tamara Miritello and Treasurer Wayne Hessler.  Beverly Carlin, Al Gloc, and Scot Trenholm joined us for the meeting.

PUBLIC IMPUT:

Motion by Dave Fornengo, second by Dave Baker, to approve the agenda. (Carried 3-0)

Motion by Dave Fornengo, second by John Fornengo, to approve the minutes from July 13th, 2022 meeting. (Carried 3-0)

  6. District 7 Meeting
    1. Thursday, August 11th, 2022
  7. Fran Levings, Deputy Clerk is running elections for November Ballots.
  8. Question from landowners about landline available in the area. Clerk was given permission to give two board members address to help establish landlines from Century Link.

OLD BUISNESS

  1. Road Work
    1. All Road work has been completed for the 2022 Season.
      1. Roadside brushing/tree clearing still being down on a few roads.
      1. Landowner requested culvert – Board approved.
    1. Part broken on grader wing, will be fixed by Dave & Jason
    1. Old grader is missing some bolts -those will be replaced.
    1. County will be doing some crushing in our reserved pile.

NEW BUSINESS

  1. NPAHD Report
    1. The Hospital District will have an informational booth at the Quarry Days celebration in Sandstone on August 13th.
    1. The Health Care Needs Committee approved an application for an Educational Loan for a person who is currently an EMT to become trained as a Paramedic. This will no go before the Executive Board, then the full board for approval. This loan will be forgiven if the recipient is employed by Essentia Ambulance Service for 2 years after successfully completing the coursework.
  2. ELECTIONS Report
    1. Clerk Tammy Miritello is in charge of all elections.  She has appointed Fran Levings to be the Election Assistant.
    1. New Dosey Township is no longer part of MN District 11B. We are now part of House District 11A which is headquartered in Cloquet.  We are now represented by Mike Sundin and not Nathan Nelson.  Mr Sundin is retiring and both parties have a primary to replace him. 
    1. Beverly Carlin, Robin Fornengo and Fran Levings have been trained to be judges for the March 2023

Next meeting is SEPTEEMBER 14th, 2022 @7:30PM
