MINUTES – NEW DOSEY TOWN BOARD REGUALAR MEETING – OCTOBER 12TH, 2022.

Meeting called to order at 7:30pm by Chair Dave Fornengo.  Also present were the following: Supervisor’s Dave Baker & Anthony Fornengo, NPAHD Representative Fran Levings, Clerk Tamara Miritello and Treasurer Wayne Hessler.  

PUBLIC IMPUT:

Motion by Anthony Fornengo, second by Dave Baker, to approve the agenda. (Carried 3-0)

Motion by Dave Fornengo, second by John Fornengo, to approve the minutes from September 14th, 2022 meeting. (Carried 3-0)

Treasurer’s Report and Cash Balance Statement – tabled (Carried 3-0)

                                Books are still being worked on by MAT (Minnesota Association of Townships) trainer

Clerk Tamara Miritello prepared and presented the Claims and Payroll list for approval.

CLERK’S REPORT

  1. MAT trainer is still working on our books – wrapping up 2021 with questions with State Auditor
  2. MAT Training – multiple dates in November
  3. Pine County Township Officer’s meeting
    1. Saturday, October 22nd 2022 @ American Legion Hall in Hinckley @ 9am
  4. Snowplowing notices will go out week of October 17th, 2022
  5. Townhall reserved for Thanksgiving 2022
  6. Board has decided to wait until next year for the Township Christmas Party.
  7. Northview Bank – wants to know what we want to do with savings account as there hasn’t been any activity in years. – Clerk will call with questions and get back to the board in November.
  8. Front door lock is having issues, Dave F will replace lock.

OLD BUISNESS

  1. Road Work
    1. All Roads are still having grading and brushing done
    1.  Larry took care of beaver issues off of Kingsdale.
    1. No update on grader

NEW BUSINESS

  1. NPAHD ReportFran Levings
    1. Dr. Sharon Gossett, Essentia Surgeon, has retired
    1. Troy Jaenke, new Facilities Director for Essentia Health, was introduced to the Hospital District Board.
    1. The Board approved a grant request from Finlayson Fire and Rescue to purchase some equipment.
    1. The Board approved an Education Loan for Jordan Kester to study to become a paramedic. Jordan is currently an EMT for Essentia.
  2. ELECTIONS ReportFran Levings
    1. Be sure to vote in the November 9th 2022 Midterm Election!
  3. Tri-Township Disposal Report – Dave Baker
    1. One more payment and the truck will be paid off
    1. The board approved raises for the two employees.
  4. Winter grading and snowplowing will be Jason, Dave, John and Mike as back up.
