NEW DOSEY TOWN BOARD REGULAR MEETING MINUTES- MAY 10, 2017

Meeting called to order at 7:47 pm by Vice-chair Dave Baker.  Also present were Supervisor Jason Fornengo, Treasurer Mandy Fornengo, Clerk Fran Levings, Deputy Clerk Beverly Carlin and Contractors Todd Elliott and Ed Proffit.  Chair Dave Fornengo arrived at 8:10 pm.

Clerk Levings swore Beverly Carlin in as Deputy Clerk.

Motion by Jason Fornengo, second by Dave Baker, to approve the Minutes of April 12, 2017. Carried.

Treasurer Mandy Fornengo presented the Treasurer’s Report.

FUND BALANCES ARE:

Motion by Dave Baker, second by Jason Fornengo, to approve the Treasurer’s Report.  Carried. Consensus was that rather than purchase a CD at this time, more funds will be spent on road repair and maintenance this year.

Clerk Fran Levings presented the Claims List and the Net Payroll List for approval.  Motion by Jason Fornengo, second by Dave Baker, to pay the following claims & payroll.  Carried.

CLERK’S REPORT:

2 dates to remember-            June 14- Pine County Board has a planning session set up with township officers.

September 16- Legal Seminar- Rutledge Town Hall 9am.

ZONING REPORT:

Interim Zoning Administrator distributed copies of the 2017 Pine County Solid Waste and Recycling Disposal Guide.

OLD BUSINESS:

  1. 2017 Road Work Order- Motion by Dave Fornengo, second by Dave Baker, to approve the road work order as requested by the Supervisors during the road review.    Contractors Todd Elliott and Ed Proffit were advised to not necessarily follow the review orders verbatim, but to use their discretion to decide what work needs to be done.  Each contractor was assigned certain roads.
  2. NPAHD Report- (1)The new hospital got a Certificate of Occupancy from the MN Department of Health following several inspections. (2) The Assisted Living Facility will open on July 10. (3) Urgent Care will be provided at the Gateway Clinic during the week and by the hospital on weekends. (4) A mobile food truck “Valentini’s” will provide food for the 1st month, then the hospital will take over. (5) The Grand Opening will be May 9.
  3. Motion by Dave Fornengo, second by Dave Baker, to hire Wayne Hessler as the lawn mower operator at a pay rate of $25/hour and lease his equipment at a rate of $50/month and reimburse him $25/month for fuel.

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Letter from CenturyLink regarding road operations will be filed under “Correspondence”.
