REVIEW OF FINANCIAL RECORDS
The purpose of this meeting was to conduct the annual Board of Audit as required under Minnesota Statutes, to examine and settle all accounts of the Township for the fiscal year ending December 31st, 2025.
Wayne and Kathleen coordinated and cross-checked their books before the audit. Supervisors checked and compared their records on the following reports:
- Schedule 1
- Cash Control
- Receipts Register
- Disbursements Register
The board found the Clerk and Treasurer’s records to be accurate and in order. Motion by David Fornengo, second by Jason Canesi (carried 3-0) to approve the financial records as presented for the year ending December 31st, 2025.
PROPOSED 2027 BUDGET AND LEVY FOR ANNUAL MEETING
The current Levy is $73,000 with the following distributions:
- General Fund: $17,520 (24%)
- Road & Bridge: $43,800 (60%)
- Fire: $8,030 (14%)
- Cemetery: $3,650 (5%)
The board discussed keeping the 2027 levy the same, but propose adjusting the distributions to account for an increase in the contract price with Duxbury VFD from $4500 (2024) to $7,500 (2025) and now $10,000 (2026) for fire and medical responses. The cemetery fund can likely be decreased to account for this. This adjustment will be presented to voters at the Annual Meeting at 8pm on March 10th.
Meeting adjourned at 5:30 PM
Respectfully submitted,
Kathleen Krejci, Clerk
