Meeting called to order at 5:51pm by Chair Dave Fornengo. Present were the following: Supervisor Jason Canesi, Supervisor Anthony Fornengo, Treasurer Wayne Hessler, Clerk Katie Krejci, Representative Robin Fornengo, Representative Bev Carlin along with Ryan Krejci and Don Eddi from the public.

AGENDA AND MINUTES
- Motion by Dave Fornengo, second by Anthony Fornengo, to approve the April 8th, 2025 agenda. (Carried 3-0)
- Motion by Jason Canesi, second by Anthony Fornengo to approve the minutes from March 10th, 2025 Town Board meeting. (Carried 3-0).
- Motion by Anthony Fornengo, second by Jason Canesi, to approve the minutes from March 13th, 2025 Board of Reorganization meeting. (Carried 3-0).
TREASURER’S REPORT
- Cash Balance Statement – Balance at Northview Bank is $77,455.77 in checking and $1,166.01 in savings.
- Motion by Jason Canesi, second by Anthony Fornengo, to approve the Treasurer’s Report. (Carried 3-0)
- Treasurer Wayne Hessler prepared the Claims and Payroll list for approval.
- Motion by Anthony Fornengo, second by Jason Canesi, to pay Claims and Payroll. (Carried 3-0)
AUXILIARY BOARD REPORT
- Hospital District Board Representative Robin Fornengo reports that they are going to do care for the FCI, still waiting on the nursing survey. Doing more marketing for the Hinckley clinic
- Health Care Needs Committee Representative Robin Fornengo reports that they’ve given out several grants:
- EMT Training for nurses
- Nurses Aid (CNA) class at the high school
- CPR, First Aid and AED courses in conjunction with Pine Tech
- Cleaning equipment for endoscopies and colonoscopies at the hospital
- Now have a website and a Facebook page!
- Garbage Board Representative Beverly Carlin reports nothing new there
- Nick has resigned as Fire Chief and Mike is back in as Chief
CLERK’S REPORT
- Laptop has been returned to New Dosey Township by Tamara Miritello
OLD BUISNESS
- ROAD WORK – Getting a head start on brushing due to no snow cover, especially on Kingsdale Road.
- Upcoming Road Review – Scheduled for Friday, April 25th at noon.
- Duxbury Fire Department – Light at the end of the shed has been fixed. 2022-2024 Fire and Medical Response Sheets have been obtained and filed.
- Taxes – Total cost of processing report (TNT Report) – our share to pay is $109.41. Tabled until next meeting
NEW BUSINESS
- DNR Proposal for Matthew Lourey State Trail
- The DNR would like to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with New Dosey Township regarding the Matthew Lourey State Trail. The State of Minnesota will be solely responsible for the administration, operations, and maintenance of the State Trail at no cost to the Township. The Agreement is to take effect from February 15th, 2025 to February 15th, 2055.
- The DNR would like to put in 2 bridges on Matthew Lourey State Trail at Keene Creek North and South. Construction is expected to start this summer.
- Motion by Anthony Fornengo, second by Jason Canesi to enter into the Agreement (carried 3-0).
- Clerk and Treasurer Duties – Clerk to write checks
- Catching Up with Priority Level and Dates
- Clerk Katie Krejci to submit State and Federal Payroll Reports by April 30th
- Clerk Katie Krejci and Chair Dave Fornengo to meet next week to train Katie in on Clerk duties and get caught up on organization.
- Board authorized Dave Fornengo, Jason Canesi, Wayne Hassler, Anthony Fornengo, and Katie Krejci to be listed as signatures on the township bank accounts. Motion by Dave Fornengo, second Jason Canesi (carried 3-0).
Anything else to come to the board?
- Don Eddi is requesting to put up a No Parking sign at his own expense on the township road due to general public parking in front of his property, across from his mailbox. Parking is legal as long as traffic is not obstructed.
