MINUTES-REGULAR MEETING-NEW DOSEY TOWN BOARD- JAN. 9, 2013

 Meeting called to order by Chair Dave Fornengo at 7:30 pm. Also present were Supervisors Dave Baker and Ken Coveau, Treasurer Margaret Coveau and Clerk Fran Levings.

Motion by Dave Baker, second by Ken Coveau, to approve the agenda.  Carried.

Motion by Ken Coveau, second by Dave Baker, to approve the minutes of Dec. 12, 2012, with an amendment stating that the term of office for Treasurer is 2, not 3, years.  Carried.

Treasurer Margaret Coveau presented the Treasurer’s Report.  (Attached to file copy of these minutes)  Fund balances are:  General-$16,111.77, Road & Bridge- $14,704.23, Cemetery/Landscaping- $226.22, Fire Protection-$2200.78, Fire Hall-$125.45, Cartway-$89.15, Savings- $1154.77 and CDs- $43,214.55. Motion by Dave Baker, second by Ken Coveau, to approve the Treasurer’s Report.  Carried.

Clerk Fran Levings presented the Claims and Net Payroll lists for approval (Attached to file copy of these minutes). Motion by Dave Fornengo, second by Ken Coveau, to pay these bills.  Carried.

CLERK’S REPORT:

  1. Township Election and Annual Meeting- Mar. 12  Motion by Ken Coveau, second by Dave Fornengo, to appoint Marlene Mishler, Beverly Carlin, and Marge Braun as election judges.  Carried.  Motion by Ken Coveau, second by Dave Fornengo, to pass a resolution appointing Marlene Mishler, Beverly Carlin and Marge Braun to serve on the Absentee Ballot Board.  Carried.
  2. IRS mileage is now .565/mile.  Consensus was to leave Township mileage reimbursement at .51/mile.
  3. Board of Audit will meet at 7:15 prior to the regular meeting on Feb. 13.
  4. Clerk will have a draft of the 2013 budget ready for review on Feb. 13.
  5. Township received a Thank-you note from the Pine County Historical Society for our Contract for Services in the amount of $50.00

ZONING REPORT:

  1. Land Use Permits # 98 & 99- Sergey Sitsvas- 1 dwelling and 1 shed

NO OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Motion by Dave Baker, second by Ken Coveau, to approve the 2013 calendar.
  2. PERA form tabled until Feb. meeting.
  3. Township received a Septic Inspection quote from Jan Faust.  Consensus was to stay with Pine Septic Design.

MINUTES-NEW DOSEY TOWN BOARD REGULAR MEETING- DEC. 12, 2012

 Meeting called to order by Chair Dave Fornengo at 7:34pm.  Also present were Supervisors Ken Coveau and Dave Baker, and Clerk Fran Levings.  Absent was Treasurer Margaret Coveau.

Motion by Dave Baker, second by Ken Coveau, to approve the agenda. Carried.

Motion by Ken Coveau, second by Dave Baker, to approve the minutes of the Nov. 14, 2012, meeting.  Carried.

Treasurer Margaret Coveau had left copies for the Board of the Treasurer’s Report.  (Attached to file copy of these minutes).  Fund Balances are:  General Fund-$17513.72, Road & Bridge Fund-$30376.60, Cemetery/Landscaping Fund- $271.22, Fire Protection Fund- $2200.78, Fire Hall Fund- $125.45, Cartway Fund- $89.15. Savings Account-$1154.19, and CDs- $43214.55.  Motion by Ken Coveau, second by Dave Baker, to accept the Treasurer’s Report.  Carried.

  1. Presented letter from Brad Bjorkland praising the Board for work done one Creek View Lane.

OLD BUSINESS:

  1. No road sign update this month.
  2. Leaky roof has not been worked on yet.

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Supervisor Baker had researched the culvert request for a prospective buyer on Keane Creek.  PineCounty engineer Mark LeBrun said a culvert would cost@ $9-10,000 and the same price for new culvert on Rocky Blvd.  The prospective buyer has withdrawn his bid.  Consensus of the Board is to wait until spring to see what the Rocky Blvd. culvert looks like.
