MINUTES – NEW DOSEY TOWN BOARD REGUALAR MEETING – ARPIL 13th 2022.

Meeting called to order at 7:30pm by Chair Dave Fornengo.  Also present were the following: Supervisor’s Dave Baker & Anthony Fornengo, Clerk Tamara Miritello and NPAHD Representative Fran Levings. Treasurer Wayne Hessler was absent.  Scott and Julie Trenholm from the public.

PUBLIC IMPUT:

  • Wanted to know about garbage service and reported a culvert issue.

NEW BUSINESS

  1. NPAHD Report – Fran Levings
    1. The district approved a grant request from Essentia -Sandstone to purchase a second Tele-Sitter for $10,000. Vote was 8-7

The district has discontinued plans for a Memory Garden on the campus.  We deemed it to be too expensive, too steeped in regulations at the state level and the project did not have full support of Essentia-Sandstone.  Dr. Tom Witt, Essentia Administrator suggested designing and building a “walking path” instead.  We are taking that under advisement.

The EMR course being sponsored by the district have been filled by 15 applicants.

NEW BUSINESS

NPAHD Report – Fran Levings

In conjunction with the Hospital District, Pine Technical Institute will be offering in April FREE Classes on Emergency Responder Training.  The Hospital District will then pay for all the books and workbooks, the certificate fee, and the EMR bag with startup equipment.  The Hospital District will also pay each person who takes the training $250 after their first year as a 1st Responder and another $250 after their second year. The total cost for this will be $760/trainee. Pine Tech has limited the class size to 15. The Hospital District has identified an acute need for first Responders with the townships and cities of the district.  Only residents of the Hospital District will qualify for this program.

Pine County Covid 19 Reports as of Feb 7, 2022: 6,645 Cases and 59 deaths

In 2021, The Hospital District’s website had 731 visits.

Meeting called to order at 7:30pm by Chair Dave Fornengo via phone.  Also present were the following: Supervisor’s Dave Baker & Anthony Fornengo, Treasurer Wayne Hessler, Clerk Tamara Miritello, and NPAHD Representative Fran Levings along with John from the public.  Absent was Deputy Clerk Samantha Gardner.

PUBLIC IMPUT:

                Water at the townhall has froze and there is a senior meeting scheduled at the end of the month. Wondering if the meeting needs to be rescheduled due to water issue.

                ****** Dave Fornengo will look into the issue this coming week to see if it’s an easy fix and will get back to Fran about the meeting.

  4. Survey overview – update insurance policy and increase policy to have proper coverage.                
    1. Dave Fornengo will work on gathering value replacement cost for the items MAT has asked for to obtain proper coverage of the townhall and grounds.

OLD BUISNESS

  1. Road Work
    1. Snow plowing and grading has been going well. Learning curves with the new grader.  Dave will be marking areas that rocks need to be removed.
      1. Public commented on grader was not on public road when grading up on the Kingsdale’s Road area. Dave Fornengo, looked up the maps and verified that indeed, it was not a public road.

NEW BUSINESS

  1. NPAHD Report – Fran Levings
    1. The Hospital District Board did not meet in December. Ms. Levings distributed copies of a Thank you letter to the Hospital District from Essentia Health-Sandstone for the grant donation towards a new Mammogram machine. She also distributed a list of all services provided by Essentia- Health- Sandstone.
