MINUTES – NEW DOSEY TOWN BOARD REGUALAR MEETING – APRIL 14TH 2021

Meeting called to order at 7:30pm by Chair Dave Fornengo.  Also presents were the following: Supervisor’s Dave Baker & Anthony Fornengo, Treasurer Wayne Hessler, and Clerk Tamara Miritello.  Absent were Deputy Clerk Samantha Gardner and NPAHD Representative Fran Levings.

Motion by Dave Fornengo, second by Dave Baker, to approve the agenda. (Carried 3-0)

Motion by Dave Baker, second by Anthony Fornengo, to approve the minutes from March 10th, 2021 meeting. (Carried 3-0)

Motion by Anthony Fornengo, second by Dave Baker, to approve the minutes from the Board of Re-Organization meeting on March 19th, 2021. (Carried 3-0)

CLERK’S REPORT

  1. Meeting for Local Board of Appeal and Equalization will be April 22nd, 2021 with Bob Brewster 320-242-3236 Meeting will be held by phone call due to ongoing pandemic.
  2. New Dosey is expected to receive an est. $8,883.00 from Federal Government due to COVID 19 Recovery Act. More details will follow.
  3. Pine County Township Officer’s Association Meeting on March 27,2021 had a verity of speakers. All minutes can be found on the Township Officer’s website.

OLD BUISNESS

                Road Work – waiting for Spring 2021 Road Review to determined Summer projects. Might flag some area’s that are having issues with people getting suck.

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Jason Fornengo has been hired for lawn mowing for the 2021 season
  2. Road Review is set for April 30th, 2021 @ 8:30am.  May’s meeting will have the report.
  3. Swear in Wayne Hessler for Treasurer for a 2-year term.
  4. Grader update – Grader is old and has some maintenance that is needing to be done. The est. of repairs is more than the equipment’s value. Dave Fornengo has been making calls to dealers for options. Something the board will have start having a discussion on what steps they want to take.
  5. NPAHD REPORT – Prepared by Fran Levings and presented by Dave Baker
  6. The Board has been participating in continued ZOOM meetings with health care officials both county and statewide to discuss other programs and options for maintaining quality health care in rural MN.
  7. The Board is planning a Strategic Planning overall of its goals and future plans.

  1. Dave Fornengo and Wayne Hessler have been re-elected for Supervisor and Treasurer position.
  2. Board of Re-Organization meeting March 19th, 2021 @7:30pm
  3. Pine County Township Officer’s Association Meeting will be Saturday, March 27th, 2021 @ Hinckley Community Center. Meeting starts @9am – Social Distancing and masks will be required. Clerk Tammy will attend the meeting.
  4. MAT 2021 Short courses will be virtual and held
    1. March 22nd – March 25th, 2021
    1. March 30th – April 1st, 2021

  3. February meeting – Ambulance Director was a Guest Speaker – Part of the discussion concerned was the response time for ambulances to come on a call to Eastern Pine County. Mr. Newton said “is it cost prohibitive to place an ambulance out here”.  He said “they responded to about 15,000 calls in 2020 and only 1500 of them were for Eastern Pine County (Most at Lake Lena). First responders and EMT’s are authorized to call in a helicopter and that will come from either Danbury or Webster, WI.

Meeting called to order at 7:30pm by Elect Dave Fornengo. Present were Supervisor’s Dave Baker and Anthony Fornengo, Clerk Tamara Miritello. Absent were Wayne Hessler and Samantha Gardner.

Motion by Dave Baker, second by AJ Fornengo, to approve the agenda.

Clerk Miritello had Dave Fornengo take the Oath of Office. Mr. Fornengo for a 3-year term as Supervisor. 

Motion by Dave Baker, second by AJ Fornengo, to elect Dave Fornengo as Chair of the Board for 1 year.

Motion by Dave Baker, second by Dave Fornengo, to elect Anthony Fornengo as Vice-Chair of the Board for 1 year.

Anything else for the good of the cause?

  1. Resident called in regards to road conditions. Will review during the 2021 Road review.
