MINUTES-BOARD OF RE-ORGANIZATION MEETING- NEW DOSEY TOWNSHIP-MARCH 21, 2012-7:15 P.M.

Clerk swore in Supervisor Dave Fornengo for a term of 3-years. (Clerk herself had been sworn in by the Wilma Town Clerk)

Meeting called to order by the Clerk.  Motion by Dave Baker, second by Ken Coveau, to nominate Dave Fornengo as Chair of the Board.  Carried.  Motion by Ken Coveau, second by Dave Fornengo, to nominate Dave Baker as Vice-Chair.  Carried.

All officers signed the Officers List for the Minnesota Association of Townships.

Motion by Dave Fornengo, second by Dave Baker, to approve the appointment of Margaret Coveau as Deputy Clerk.  Carried.

Motion by Dave Fornengo, second by Ken Coveau, to approve the following Contracts for Services:       Seven-County Senior Federation-     $100.00

Family Pathways Senior Services-         $50.00

Pine County Historical Society-            $50.00

Carried.

Motion by Ken Coveau, second by Dave Baker, to approve the 2012 calendar with the addition of April 9th as the date for the Board of Review and Equalization. Carried.

MINUTES-BOARD OF RE-ORGANIZATION MEETING-NEW DOSEY TOWNSHIP

March 24, 2009

Clerk Fran Levings gave the Oath of Office to newly elected officers Dave Fornengo, 3 yr. term as Supervisor and Vicki Elliott, 2 yr. term as Treasurer.

Dave Baker nominated Dave Fornengo to be Chair for the next year.  No other nominations and Mr. Fornengo was elected chair.  Dave Fornengo nominated Dave Baker to be vice-chair.  No other nominations and Mr. Baker weas elected vice-chair for a one year term.

The Clerk reminded the Board of the following dates-  March 28- Pine County Township Association Meeting in Hinckley, April 13-Board of Review and Equalization Meeting at 1 p.m. and April 15- the next regular meeting of the Board at 7:30 p.m.

Officer signed the form of all officers to be sent to the Minnesota Association of Townshiips.

Motion by Dave Fornengo, second by Don Mishler, to accept the authorization of the electors at the Annual Meeting to lower the wage for grading and snowplowing from $20/hour to $15/hour.  Carried.

Motion by Dave Baker, second by Dave Fornengo, to lower the wage for laborers from $15/hour to $12/hour.  Carried.

Motion by Dave Baker, second by Don Mishler, to lower the wage for Supervisor for each meeting by 10%.  Carried.  Supervisors will now be paid $40.50/meeting instead of $45/meeting.

Motion by Dave Fornengo, second by Dave Baker to accept the following authorizations made by the electors at the Annual Meeting:  Lower mileage rate from 47.50cents/mile to 35cents/mile, charge a rental fee of $25 for use of the town hall (this does NOT apply to community groups), raise the “filing for office” fee from $2 to $5, and purchase a new lawnmower for less than $200.  Carried.

Consensus was that since this meeting lasted less than 1 hour, supervisors, clerk and treasurer would not get paid for attending it.

The clerk gave the price of cemetery lots since it had been asked for.  1 lot is $400, 1 grave is $100, 2 urns may be buried in one grave, and the Cloverton Cemetery is now a designated “green” cemetery.

MINUTES-BOARD OF RE-ORGANIZATION MEETING-NEW DOSEY TOWNSHIP
MARCH 20, 2008

Meeting called to order by clerk Fran Levings at 7:30 p.m. Present were Dave Fornengo, Dave Baker, Don Mishler, Vicki Elliott and Fran Levings.

Supervisor Don Mishler was sworn in to office by clerk Fran Levings.

Clerk Fran Levings was sworn in to office by chair Dave Fornengo.

Motion by Dave Baker, second by Don Mishler, to nominate Dave Fornengo to serve as chair of the Board. Carried.

All officers signed the officers form to be sent to the Minnesota A’ssn of Townships.

Clerk distributed certificates of election to Don Mishler and herself.

Clerk said she was re-appointing Beverly Carlin as deputy clerk.

Motion b y Dave Baker, second by Don Mishler, to accept the recommendations of the electors and have contracts for services with Family Pathways Senior Services and the Seven County Senior Federation for $300 each. Carried.

Motion by Don Mishler, second by Dave Fornengo, to hire Clint Elliott to mow the lawns at the town hall and cemetery for 2008.

Dave Baker brought chair Dave Fornengo up-to-date on the windmill project and the Ice & Snow Removal Policy. Mr. Baker said he had spoken with a person from ECE and the dealer who installed a windmill for the Audobon Center of the North. Said he had learned from ECE that this part of Minnesota is the worst for wind power in the state. He will continue looking in to the issue. Regarding the Ice & Snow Removal Policy, Dave Fornengo suggested a refund for persons who do not use $120 worth of plowing.

Clerk said the policy could come up for review at the next annual meeting.

Clerk Levings presented the Burning Permit Policy of the DNR. Persons with a permit are now required to call a toll-free number to register the permit.

Pine County Public Works has 2 snow plow trucks up for bids. Supervisors said they were the wrong size for us.
